Advanced Audio Settings

Audio Constraints

Enable Echo Cancellation Reduces echo caused by your speakers playing back into your microphone. Recommended for most setups.

Enable Noise Suppression Reduces background noise. Effectiveness varies by browser. May slightly alter voice quality.

Enable Auto Gain Control Automatically adjusts microphone volume. Can be helpful, but some users prefer manual control for consistency.

Enable Voice Isolation Supported by latest browsers. Isolates your voice from background noise. May alter voice quality.

Audio Filters

Enable High-Pass Filter (Visualizer) Reduces low-frequency hum (e.g., from fans, AC). Currently applies only to the audio visualizer.

Voice Activity Detection (VAD)

Use Semantic VAD Switches from silence-based VAD to a model that detects utterance completion based on spoken content. (Settings applied on next recording)

Semantic VAD Eagerness Controls how quickly Semantic VAD determines an utterance is complete. 'low' waits longer, 'high' is quicker. (Requires Semantic VAD enabled)

VAD settings are experimental and will be applied when the next recording starts. Advanced VAD controls are not yet fully implemented.
